Abstract

The flowering part ofSanvitalia procumbens Lam. contains—apart from a hydrocarbon-fraction—a mixture of triterpene esters. From this eight fatty acids as well as α- and β-amyrin were identified. The definite identification and differentiation of the amyrines was achieved by GC-MS.
