Abstract
The behavior of the electric conductivity of epitaxial zinc oxide films in an atmosphere of nitrogen and oxygen atoms and molecules is studied by a bridge method. In the discussion of the results, some heterogeneous chemical processes are invoked which are accompanied by an exchange of carriers between the surface and the bulk of the solid.
