Choice of optimum modulation frequency when determining the scattering index of a medium by the phasemeter method

Abstract

The results of calculations on the variation of the depth of modulation and the phase shift of a signal propagating through a scattering medium in the “backward” direction as a function of the scattering index and the thickness of the scattering layer are presented. The flux is modulated sinusoidally in the frequency range from 1 to 100 MHz.
