Abstract
According to the theory developed32, aMichaelis-Menten constantK M=3,6·10−5 mmole/ml was found viscosimetrically for the cleavage of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (Na-CMC) by β-1.4-glucan-4-glucanohydrolase (E.C. 3.2.1.4), aC x-cellulase enzyme isolated from Aspergillus oryzae. The cellulase activity was also characterized by the rate constant,k=7,41 cm3/g sec.
