Abstract
The features of the formation and growth of the nucleus of a new magnetic phase in a monocrystal (110)-plate of Y3Fe5O12:Si with an initial domain structure are experimentally studied. The formation times of the nuclei and the photoinduced domains formed as a result of the growth of the nuclei are obtained for various relative positions of the illuminated local domain and the domain boundary of the original domain structure. The influence that the original domain structure has on the formation and growth of a nucleus is shown.
