Taking account of electron exchange in analyzing the property-composition dependence in spinel systems

Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

A variation of the quasichemical method of cluster components for the case of a spinel solid solution which is comprised of two species of cations with variable valence is proposed in this paper. Decomposition of the solution into cluster components (CC) is performed taking account of the electron-exchange reaction between the distinct cations. Certain particular cases of the general solution are examined.
