Abstract

This paper is concerned with resolving the famous Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox within the scope of the explanatory axiomatics of quantum theory, developed by one of the present authors. It is shown that the possibility, arising as a result of the analysis, for practically instantaneous propagation of a material perturbation over arbitrary distances is so specific that it cannot serve as a means for transmitting information at velocities higher than the velocity of light. The presence of such noninformative material excitations requires reformulating the principle of microcausality. This fact makes necessary a clear distinction between the terms “preparation of material excitation” and “transmission of information.”
