Abstract
The thermodynamics of a quasiclassical bosonic membrane is discussed. Based on the S representation, an attempt is made to construct the F representation for the free energy, and a comparison is made with the analogous analysis in field theory. The question of the possibility of dual symmetry of free energy is studied, and a dual-symmetric generalization of the free energy is constructed. The dependence of the Hagedorn temperature on the cutoff parameter is noted.
