Abstract
A comparison is made of the experimentally observable positions and intensities of bulk and surface spin waves in single-crystal films of iron-manganese spinels of different thickness with computed values. The computation is performed within the framework of the theoretical model of a surface inhomogeneity with changes in the magnetization over the film thickness taken into account. Sufficiently good agreement is obtained between experiment and computation. Results of the research permitted estimation of the magnitude of the specimen inhomogeneity in the magnetization.
