Radiation from a charged current-carrying filament in a transparent uniaxial crystal

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

The problem of Vavilov-Serenkov (Cherenkov) and synchrotron radiation from a charged current-carrying filament in a transparent uniaxial crystal is considered. Formulas are obtained for the spectral distribution of the radiated intensity. The limiting transition of the equations for the spectral intensity distribution of synchrotron radiation into the corresponding formulas for Vavilov-Serenkov radiation is considered.
