Generalized quantum kinetic equation for conducting disordered media

Abstract

A quantum kinetic equation for disordered structures is derived using the Kadanoff-Baym technique. The nonlocal nature of the collision integral and the influence of the external field are taken into account by the generalized Kadanoff-Baym ansatz (GKB ansatz). The collision integral is explicitly constructed for the substitional AxB1−x binary alloy system.
