Conclusions

The new criterion of thermodynamic similarity obtained for orthobaric volumes can be used to calculate and correlate their values for little-investigated substances as well as to determine whether a chemical compound belongs to one group of thermodynamic similarity or another. Application of the criterion does not require knowledge of the saturation pressure.
