Solution of the ground state problem of a solid solution for interaction potentials of finite radius

Abstract

A method is proposed for finding the energetically favorable superstructure of a solid solution or a magnet on a pc-, bcc- and fcc-lattice. A hierarchical classification is made of the Brillouin zone points corresponding to energetically suitable superstructures.
