Self-consistent model of the two-centered oscillator in the theory of fission

Abstract

The potential of a two-centered oscillator is compared to a finite potential. For small deformations agreement is observed in the behavior of the potentials. The procedure of selfconsistency is carried out within the limits of the given model.
