Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

A scheme for the unique expansion of a multicomponent solid solution into cluster components (CC), taking account of the cation-exchange reaction between them, is proposed. A mathematical foundation is given for the method. As an illustration, the expansion of a quasibinary spinel solution of the type 2–3 is given with an analysis of the possible behavior of the property-composition dependence.
