Abstract

The temperature hysteresis of the domain structure of thin layers of single-axis ferrimagnets has been studied theoretically and experimentally varying the temperature. The relationships have been found for the qualitative description of the magnitude of the temperature hysteresis of the period of a band domain structure. The results of the calculation are in satisfactory agreement with experimental data obtained on single-axis magnetic samples of a ferrite-garnet and on a gadolinium-cobalt amorphous film. It is shown that the phenomenon of the temperature hysteresis of the domain structure is caused by the coercivity of domain boundaries.
