Relative supersaturation during vacuum condensation

Abstract

Essential formulas for the computation of the relative supersaturation during condensation in a vacuum are considered. It is shown that they do not permit comparison of results obtained by different authors under different technological conditions. Experimental results on vacuum synthesis of zinc chalcogenide films on mica are analyzed, whereupon a formula is proposed for the computation of the relative supersaturation which would permit the comparison of results obtained under different technological conditions.
