Abstract
A Lagrangian formulation is constructed for a general Hamiltonian theory with constraints. A modification is proposed of the standard procedure of the “Hamiltonianization” of a Lagrangian theory in the case when the Lagrangian theory has primary constraints. The obtained results are used to establish the Lagrangian form of infinitesimally small canonical transformations in the Hamiltonian formalism.
