Abstract
A mathematical modeling is carried out of the effect of space charge on the voltage-capacitance characteristics of MIM structures based on nonlinear dielectrics. Solutions are derived and examples are presented of calculation for a MIM structure based on strontium titanate single crystal at 4.2°K. Using a computer, it is possible to derive quantitative information on space charge in nonlinear dielectrics from the results of relatively simple measurements of voltage-capacitance characteristics.
