Study of excited states of atoms by means of nonorthogonal radial orbitals

Abstract

Rules are derived for graphical determination of the overlap integral of wave functions and matrix elements of operators of physical quantities. A calculation is made for four-electron atoms in the configuation 1s22s4s using nonorthogonal radial orbitals.
