The interpretation of ring diffusion effects

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

The author shows that the ring form of the diffusion effects observed in the initial stages of decomposition of many alloys, including AlZn and AlAg, is due not to a form effect and not to a correlation effect of the spherical Guinier groups, but mainly to their internal structure — scattering from their isotropic modulated structure.
