Abstract
The growth kinetics of a liquid phase embryo in the gas phase is considered. A model Hamiltonian describing the embryo, the gas medium, and the elementary acts of condensation and evaporation is used for microscopic description of the system. The nonequilibrium statistical operator of the system is constructed, taking into account the growth and motion of the embryo, its heat exchange with the surrounding medium, and transport processes in the medium.
