Abstract
The applicability of a semiempirical binding energy function, obtained on the basis of a statistical approximation of quantum solid-state theory, to the description of the binding forces in ordered alloys is estimated in the example of a Cu3Au alloy. The computed scalar equations of state of Au, Cu, and Cu3Au are in good agreement with experiment.
