Abstract
It is shown that in order to describe the level-intersection effect, taking into account repeated emission, it is necessary to solve the boundary problem. The passage of resonant polarized radiation through a plane-parallel layer under a magnetic field is considered. The method of invariant merging [8] is used to construct equations for the reflection and transmission functions. Reciprocity principles are established.
