Abstract
A method is prsented for comparing a theoretical size distribution with known lower and upper bounds to observe histograms in order to extract useful information. The method employs the first and higher moments of the two distributions together with fitting of the curves by varying the upper and lower bounds within the error of experiment. Computing techniques have been employed to extract the latent parameters of the dispersed system and the time variations in the case of coalescence of cementite particles in the annealing of steel.
