pure and applied geophysics Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The propagation of disturbances in cylindrical surfaces of visco-elastic material of general linear type (i) cylinder surrounded by a vacuum (ii) and on an infinite body of same material having a cylindrical cavity, when the surface is subjected to an initially static magnetic field, making use of the electro-magnetic equations of Maxwell, equations of elasticity and the stress-strain relations of the material.
