Summary

Two problems of propagation of waves from a spherical cavity in an elastic medium, with transverse isotropy about the radius vector have been considered, the source of the disturbances being (1) an impulsive pressure on the cavity surface and (2) an impulsive radial velocity of the particles of the cavity surface.
