Summary

The propagation of Love type waves in an infinite non-homogeneous circular cylinder with a central core is investigated here. The rigidity and density of the outer mentle are supposed to vary linearly with the radial distance, while those of the inner core are taken to be constant. Phase velocity curve against wave number is drawn.
