  • Published:
pure and applied geophysics Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

An instrument for the measurement of the magnetic susceptibility of rocks in situ or in the laboratory has been described. The instrument is a completely portable and transistorised unit having a range from 5 to 50000×10−6 CGS units of volume susceptibility. The accuracy of measurements is ±5%. It is rapid and simple in operation.
