On disturbances in a viscoelastic solid rod of Burger's type subjected to a magnetic field

  • Published:
pure and applied geophysics Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The propagation of disturbances in a semi-infinite visco-elastic rod of Burger's type has been investigated, when the rod is subjected to an initially static magnetic field, making use of the electro-magnetic equations of Maxwell, equations of elasticity and the stress-strain relations of the material.
