Abstract
Three strains of an undescribed species of the genusMyxozyma were recovered. The new species differs from other accepted species of the genus in its assimilation pattern of carbon sources, mol% G + C and low DNA-DNA homology. A description of the new species,Myxozyma vanderwaltii, and a key to the species accepted in the genus are given.
