Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The halogenation (bromination and iodination) of 4-hydroxyisoquinoline was studied.

     
  2. 2.

    The halogenation of 4-hydroxyisoquinoline is directed initially to the 3 position and then to the 1 position of the isoquinoline ring.
