The photochemical reactions of cyclopentadienyltetracarbonylniobium with triphenylphosphine, triphenylstibine have been studied. The composition of the reaction products depends on the solvent used.

Cyclopentadienyltricarbonylniobium-triphenylphosphine, cyclopentadienyltricarbonylniobiumtriphenylarsine, and cyclopentadienyltricarbonylniobium-triphenylstibine, and also cyclopentadienyldicarbonylniobium-bis (triphenylphosphine), have been obtained and characterized.
