1.
The condensation of diphenyldichlorosilane with 1,4-dilithio-1,4-dihydronaphthalene has been studied. The new organosilicon compounds 1,4-bis-(diphenylchlorosilyl)-1,4-dihydronaphthalene and its condensation product have been synthesized.
-
2.
The hydrolysis of the dimer in an alkaline medium has given the corresponding dihydroxy derivatives.
