Conclusions

In the halogenation of the sodium salt of 1,1,1-trifluoro-2,2-dihalo-2-nitroethanes are formed exclusively.

By the Nef reaction and by oxidation trifluoroacetaldehyde was obtained from 1,1,1-trifluoronitreethane.

3.
By the action of hydrochloric acid on 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoronitroethane 1-chlorotetrafluoro-1-nitrosoethane was obtained.
