Conclusions
An automatic, simple, and rapid coulometric method is proposed for the microdetermination of active hydrogen in organic compounds. The method is based on the reaction of active hydrogen with LiAlH4, combustion of the hydrogen formed to water, and measurement of the amount of electricity expended in its electrolysis.
