Conclusions

1.
The corresponding mercaptals containing acyloxy, cyanoethoxy, aminomethoxy, and trimethylsiloxy groups were obtained by acylation, cyanoethylation, aminomethylation, and silylation of 2,2-bis)alkylthio)-1-propanols.

2.
Preliminary tests were made of the physiological activity of the 2,2-bis)alkylthio)-1-cyanoethoxypropanes and 2,2-bis)alkylthio)-1-diethylaminometh-oxypropanes. The investigated compounds are related to the group of substances which stimulate the N-cholinoreactive systems of the parasympathetic branch of the autonomie nervous system.
