Conclusions

  1. 1.

Hydrocarbons containing two three-membered carbon rings in a row were reduced, and their properties were characterized.

  2. 2.

In the case of 5,5-dimethyl-3-[2-(n-alkyl)-cyclopropyl]-pyrazoline, increasing the number of C atoms in the alkyl substituent complicates the decomposition of the base at atmospheric pressure, and hence it should be conducted by heating the mixture of the pyrazoline and KOH to 220–250° under a vacuum of 140–160 mm Hg.
