Investigation of the Poisson's ratio of certain crystalline polymers under a constant compressive load

The results of an investigation of the Poisson's ratio in compression for two crystalline polymers, low-density polyethylene and teflon, are given. The effect of time under load and temperature on the value of the Poisson's ratio is examined.
