Equation of state of a plane chain molecule

Abstract

An equation of state giving the relation between the intermolecular gap, the intermolecular force, the longitudinal force, and temperature is obtained from the Clausius virial theorem on the basis of a mechanical model of a plane zig-zag macromolecule.
