Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A number of sulfones of the derivatives ofβ-(β-chloroethylthio)-α-chloro- andβ-chloro-α-(β-chloroethylthio)isobutyric acid were obtained.

     
  2. 2.

    The sulfone ofβ-chloro-α-(β-chloroethylthio)isobutyric acid is unstable under ordinary conditions and is easily decarboxylated.
