Problem of rapid exchange of nonequivalent cyclopentadienyl rings in tetracyclopentadienyl derivatives of group IVA metals

Conclusions

A comparison of the experimental data obtained in studying the NMR, IR and Raman spectra, the x-ray structure analysis, and the dipole moments of (C5H5)4Zr and (C5H5)Hf testifies to the exceeding ease of the mutual interchanges of the differently bonded cyclopentadienyl rings in these compounds.
