Conclusions

γ-Aminopropylphosphonic acid was synthesized by the hydrolysis of O,O-diethyl γ-aminopropylphosphonate, which was obtained by the condensation of O,O-diethyl vinylphosphonate with nitromethane in the presence of sodium ethylate, and subsequent reduction.
