Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The relative reactivity of the radicals: C6H 5 . , p-C6H4CH 3 . , p-C6H4OCH 3 . , p-C6H4Br., and p-C6H4·NO 2 . was determined by the method of competing reactions in a toluene-ethylbenzene mixture.

     
  2. 2.

    The selectivity of the aryl radicals is increased when they form π-complexes with naphthalene.
