Plane-strain investigation of rubber specimens using a variable Poisson's ratio

Abstract

It is shown that with an accuracy sufficient for practical purposes the strains of rubber models in a plane state of strain coincide with the values computed from the generalized Hooke's law with variable Poisson's ratio μ determined from the constant-volume condition.
