Conclusions

1.
A study was made of the condensation of cis-1,3,5,7-tetrahydroxy-1,3,5,7-tetraphenylcyclotetrasiloxane with silicon tetrachloride. Four new chloro derivatives of a polyphenylcyclosiloxane were isolated.
-
2.
The formation of cross-linked structures is not observed when the hydrolysis product of 1,1,7,7-tetrachloro-3,5,9,11-tetraphenyltricyclooctasiloxane is condensed.
-
3.
The formation of a cyclolinear polymer with a chain unit, containing two cyclotrisiloxane rings, connected by a silicon spiroatom, fails to occur when cis-1,3,5,7-tetrahydroxy-1,3,5,7-tetraphenylcyclotetrasiloxane is condensed with 1,1,7,7-tetrachloro-3,5,9,11-tetraphenyltricyclooctasiloxane.
