Conclusions

The higher ethers of diacetylresorcinol are easily obtained by reacting it with a bromide of the allyl type in the presence of K2CO3.

In contrast to ethynylphenols, which contain free hydroxyl groups, the ethers of diethynylresorcinol smoothly enter into the Mannich and Chodkiewicz reactions.
