Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The metal (M=Ni, Co) and the boride of the transition metal with composition M2B are present in the precipitates obtained in the reduction of nickel and cobalt salts with sodium borohydride, after their heating in an atmosphere of argon at 400°.

  2. 2.

In the reduction of chlorplatinic acid and palladium chloride with sodium borohydride, the metals Pt andα-Pd are formed.
