Conclusions
Equations were derived permitting a calculation of the necessary amount of an ion-exchange resin (or ion-exchange resins) required for the purification of solutions to a set residual concentration of an impurity ion, if the counter-ion of the ion-exchange resin (or mixture of ion-exchange resins) forms a relatively nondissociated substance in solution with an ion of opposite sign. Satisfactory agreement of the calculated and experimental data was obtained.
