Conclusions
-
1.
The work functions of the electron in water were determined for 17 metals, as well as those from mercury in alcohols and dimethylformamide.
-
2.
The energies of electronic polarization of water, alcohols, and dimethylformamide were calculated. The values found are correlated with the calculated energies of the nonsolvated electrons in these media.
